In the hands of giants like Frank Lloyd Wright, Stephen Sondheim, John Steinbeck and Chuck Jones, extra smooth Blackwing pencils may have helped create more timeless works than any other creative tool in modern history. Eberhard Faber first introduced the Blackwing pencil in the 1930's. In 1998, after several corporate acquisitions, the Blackwing was discontinued but certainly was not
