This past summer I observed a nest building Red headed Woodpecker like this one, grabbing beakfuls of wood chips dust from a cavity and tossing them to the air behind. Love how they dont just toss it, they seem to pause and watch it scatter and fall. Thought it would be a fun effect for a drawing one day
